Mr. Naresh Manera graced the occasion with his presence and a wonderful speech which promised us HiranandaniItes an Indoor Badminton Court withing ONE YEAR!
Now hoping for the best and that the Corporator of Thane keeps his promise to build us a more favorable playing area for better sports participation!
Mr. Naresh Manera, the Shiv Sena Corporator of Thane, graced the finals as well as the prize distribution of HBL Mens Doubles, in December 2013, by his presence, thoughtful speech and a wonderful promise to help build an indoor badminton court within a year!
As appropriately stated by Mr. Praveen Nagare in his speech before the prize distribution, "All great things start with a simple IDEA!" Mr. Praveen Nagare organized the entire show with his brilliant public relations and profound connections at various levels. He is the silent hand behind the smooth running and success of HBLs first ever endeavour. We are greatful to all his selfless acts of services provided towards all the events! ThankYou Mr. Nagare!
A former International Level player Mr. Manish Rathi was a competitor from the Volley Ball United team (VU). It was an honor to have him play this sport amonst everyone that participated. Inspite of having played after more than a decade, Manish is in great form. His game sense is impeccable and it was a pleasure watching him move and cover the court. HBL Mens Doubles 2nd Runners Up 2013
HBL inaugurated its championship tournaments with HBL Mens Doubles Championship in December 2013. With the concept being very new, yet interesting, many people approached with hesitant societies. Finally the societies realized that anything involving sport cant be a bad thing! 5 buildings namely Jasper, Crown, Hillgrane, Flora & Princeton participated and the event saw 8 teams in total fighting in league matches played through 4 sessions over 2 days.
The HBL Mens Doubles ended with a big bang at the Finals and Prize Distribution Ceremony held at Crown Building.
The Finals were electrigying not to mention exhausting game play between young Princeton boys and the men from Jasper. The Final match was a proof that experience and years of practise can win over youth and agility.
